On February 29, 2020, one of the most important events of the year in the field of health and safety took place at the Casino Antiguo in Ciudad Real. This was the 21st edition of the Technical Conference on Occupational Risk Prevention and Social Responsibility. During the event, GespreObra was presented with the Prever Award 2019 in the Companies and Institutions category.
The award granted by the General Council of Industrial Relations and Graduates in Labour Sciences represents recognition, by the Prever 2019 Committee, of the work and outstanding performance in health and safety in support of occupational risk prevention that GespreObra has carried out for more than thirteen years since its founding.
The award was received by Rosa Luz Carreño González (co-founder and CEO of the company), together with Álvaro Catalán Sánchez (Executive Director), from Mr. José Llanes and Mr. Francisco Lucas. The ceremony, which was broadcast on the programme “¿Qué me pasa, Doctor?” (La Sexta), was also attended by numerous figures from the health and safety sector and the business community of Ciudad Real, Castilla–La Mancha, and across Spain. For all these reasons, it was an honour for the members of the GespreObra team to attend the celebration.
Prever Award: an award with a history
The General Council of Industrial Relations and Labour Sciences has awarded the Prever Awards annually since 1998. National and international in nature, these awards aim to recognise professionals, companies, and organisations that stand out for their work in the field of health and safety in and outside Spain.
The Prever Commission, chaired by the President of the Council, proposes the candidates to receive the award each year. Those involved in the commission and the nomination of candidates include the previous year’s awardees, the Regional Directorates-General of Labour, the National Institute for Safety and Health at Work, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work and the CGRICT itself.
Finally, the award is presented during a technical conference held each year in a different autonomous community. At this technical conference, through the participation of qualified speakers, companies, and other bodies, the aim is to provide as complete a view as possible of the present and future of occupational risk prevention and corporate social responsibility.
The categories are as follows:
- Individual
- Special recognitions
- Occupational Risk Prevention / Corporate Social Responsibility
- Companies and Institutions
- International
GespreObra, working every day to promote a preventive culture
The award granted to GespreObra is further motivation to continue our daily work for health and safety, which is what we believe in and what we enjoy most. This work, carried out by GespreObra in all areas of occupational risk prevention, but above all in the construction sector and Health and Safety Coordination on site, aims to integrate a preventive culture at all hierarchical levels of organisations through its implementation.
