2021 welcomed the III International Prevencionar Congress in an unprecedented, entirely virtual format. It was a truly innovative, rewarding, and very positive experience. GespreObra, as a key supporter of what would be the year’s leading event in prevention, experienced the congress firsthand. It had an amphitheater named after it and a stand where micro-talks were delivered and knowledge was exchanged. And, of course, its CEO, Rosa Luz Carreño, gave a presentation on safety and health coordination in construction projects.
A Special Edition of the Prevencionar Congress
The III Prevencionar Congress was held on October 7, 8, and 9, 2021. It brought together over 3,000 professionals in the field of Occupational Safety and Health. A large number of individuals, including GespreObra’s CEO, Rosa Luz Carreño, delivered highly engaging presentations related to health, safety, and well-being.
Additionally, a significant amount of technical documentation in the form of papers and posters was presented, which enhanced the scientific level of the Congress, and the response from industry professionals was very positive.

Furthermore, it is worth highlighting the successful virtual experience of holding the Congress in an entirely virtual environment. A large number of organizations, including GespreObra, contributed with their stands to create a spectacular exhibition area that attendees positively evaluated.
GespreObra’s Participation
GespreObra has always believed that the Prevencionar Congress is one of the most interesting events in the field of occupational risk prevention. For this reason, we have participated as sponsors since the first edition of the Prevencionar Congress. When the I Prevencionar Congress was proposed in 2017, GespreObra knew it had to be a sponsor. It was already clear that it would become something significant. At the II Prevencionar Congress, held in 2019, we also did not want to miss the opportunity to contribute by once again becoming an official sponsor of that edition.
The international leap and the success of the 2021 edition confirm the expectations generated since the first edition. These expectations led us to continue our commitment to preventive culture by becoming Gold sponsors of the III Prevencionar Congress.
That is why GespreObra had a stand in the exhibition area where we could share our knowledge and experience in consulting and safety and health coordination in construction, as well as our projects, with attendees. In this regard, visitors to the GespreObra stand had the opportunity to listen to a micro-talk by our colleague Andrés on “Management of occupational risk prevention documentation in Spain for international companies working on a construction project”.

Furthermore, GespreObra had the honor of lending its name to one of the amphitheaters where congress attendees could enjoy highly interesting presentations related to safety and health.
Duty of Vigilance in Construction
It was in this room that Rosa Luz Carreño, CEO of GespreObra, delivered a presentation on “Duty of Vigilance or Safety and Health Coordinator?”, addressing the dilemma between the actual functions of a construction site’s safety and health coordinator and the expectations of “control” perceived by a significant portion of project participants.
An incredible atmosphere prevailed in the GespreObra Amphitheater during Rosa Luz Carreño’s talk, with attendees actively participating by making comments and asking questions.
Upcoming Safety and Health Events
Following this edition of the Prevencionar Congress, we are already eagerly anticipating the IV edition, which will take place in 2023, according to confirmed intentions from the event organization itself. There, once again, we will be able to exchange knowledge on safety and health with public and private individuals and organizations from academia, construction, and industry.
